They say when you start a blog the last thing you want to do, is start with a post about yourself, so... I'm going to do exactly that. This post should set a shining example of exactly what not to do, so that, in the event you should choose to start your own blog, you will be able to avoid it by learning from my experience.
I am going to start every sentence in this paragraph with the word "I" (the shortest word in the dictionary btw yes it's shorter than "a" measure you'll see). I am aware that it is bad form to do so, and a bit narcissistic. I will try not to do that very much, after this paragraph. I think that would be a good idea, don't you? I thought you would agree.
In this paragraph I was going to talk about why I am writing this blog. But then I decided to talk about introducing paragraphs in a silly way. After this paragraph I will try to stop introducing paragraphs by saying "In this paragraph". Probably, you could just read the paragraph on your own so the introduction is just redundant. I am really looking forward to the next paragraph. *Which is not about paragraphs at all Which is only a little bit about paragraphs.
Writing this blog, for me, is about being able to release some of the daily tension of my work and give me some open place to share my feelings, thoughts, fears, and desires with the over stressed and over anxious public, who very likely share some of my own daily dread, of waking up to another day, and having to experience the daily grind, and horribly long run on sentences. Didn't think I noticed did you? Well I did. I had to take deep breaths twice while typing that.**The next paragraph isn't about paragraphs either (*damn, did that just make this one about paragraphs?) The next paragraph has very little to do with paragraphs, nor is it full of run on sentences, like this one, that I am typing right now, just to make a point, because I can, and you can't stop me.
Are you still reading this? I think I would have quit about two paragraphs ago (**damn it to hell), but since you are still with me, I will try to explain what kind of content is going into this blog. Writing is one of my passions though I have not had the good fortune to make a living at it. Instead, I make a living writing code (just as creative but not nearly as much fun) , developing small businesses for others, marketing websites, and designing graphics in the form of ads, websites, logos and presentations. I'm quite good at all of these things, or so I am told by my clients, but it is not always 100% fulfilling. Many of the posts that will appear in this blog are just garbage rambling like this one, but some of them will actually be useful, or interesting, and maybe even funny, unlike this one.
There are at least a hundred stories I have been wanting to write into novels. But who has time for that? Instead I am going to try them out here as short stories. I will also post bits of art, snippets of code, answer any questions that you readers are brave or foolish enough to ask me, and from time to time give advice that no one should follow. To cap it all off I'll write my philosophy on life, love and the pursuit of a perfect season on Maden NFL, just to give your brain a serious concussion.
I truly hope you enjoy this as much as I will and suggest that you follow this blog through any number of the controls on the right side of this blog, right now, or you will never find it again, don't kid yourself. You know you wont! Just do it, really, it's one click of a button.
